Civilian Aspects of EU Crisis Management, 8-12 November 2021, Rome
The European Security and Defense College and the Italian Defense Higher Studies Institute in Rome co-organised the course on “Civilian Aspects of EU Crisis Management”.
The Course started on the 8th November and will run until the 12th November. The course brings together 89 Course Members: military representatives, civil servants, scholars and diplomats. It is delivered fully online and aims to enhance a common understanding of civilian aspects of EU crisis management among personnel of Member States, EU Institutions and relevant EU Agencies involved in EU crisis management to improve the understanding of EU crisis management decision-making processes and actors. Furthermore the training course provides insight into how the EU institutions provide advice, guidance and incentives to put into effect Member States national civilian crisis management strategies.
Participants will have the opportunity to network, share views and hold an enriching exchange of experiences and perceptions.
An interesting case study will be proposed to the participants on a specific military mission, namely EUTM Somalia, with the participation of the Operation Commander General Fabiano Zinzone, with an analysis on strengths and weaknesses on the mission itself.
