Change Management in Civilian Crisis Management Course, 20-25 June 2021,Portuguese Guarda National Republicana, Lisbon, Portugal
The Portuguese Guarda National Republicana and the European Security and Defence College (ESDC) had the honour to organize the Change Management in Civilian Crisis Management Pilot Course, which took place in Lisbon, Portugal, from 20 to 25 June 2021.
The Pilot Course included an e-Learning part on the ILIAS Platform to be completed before the residential part of the course, which was focused on developing possible strategies to cope with teamwork and leadership challenges in the context of Change Management projects and activities in EU CSDP missions and operations, deployed in fragile and conflicted affect areas.
The course provided to seventeen participants from the EU Member States, Institutions, and EU CSDP Missions and Operations an integrated approach for the development of Change Management activities and implementation plan, in the framework of European Union Common Security and Defence Policy. Participants had the great opportunity to listen and exchange experiences with outstanding lectures and practitioners about topics as Civilian Crises management missions and operations, Communication in multicultural environments, Cultural awareness, Negotiation & Mediation, and Experiences from mission area (GarSi Sahel and EUPOL COPPS Palestine).
During the week, various work groups were organized to encourage debate and deepening the topics presented, as well as favourite interactions between participants and to share experiences and knowledge.
