“Advanced Modular Training for CSDP Crisis Management”, Brussels, Belgium, 24 to 28 March 2025
The European Security and Defence College (ESDC) had the privilege of co-organizing the first module of the “Advanced Modular Training for CSDP Crisis Management” in partnership with Maynooth University (Ireland) and the EU Military Staff. Held in Brussels, Belgium, from 24 to 28 March 2025, this module focused on the EU Integrated Approach and highlighted the collaboration among various actors—political, civilian, military, humanitarian, and development aid—in the broader context of the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP).
The training placed a strong emphasis on practical group work, using a specific crisis management scenario. Participants from diverse professional backgrounds were challenged to cooperate and collectively analyse the crisis, fostering a deeper understanding of cross-sector coordination.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all the speakers, with special thanks to EEAS/PCM.1 for their invaluable contributions and insightful presentations. We also wish to thank the 43 participants for their trust in the ESDC. We remain committed to delivering the same high-quality training in the upcoming module in Thessaloniki and Rome.
