🌟 Successful Completion of the 7th CSDP Olympiad in Budapest! 🏆

We are thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of the 7th Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) Olympiad, held in Budapest from 1st to 4th July 2024. This biannual event, a cornerstone of the Military Erasmus Programme, brought together Military Academies and Educational Institutions from across EU member states for an enriching academic exchange. This year’s Olympiad gathered 60 participants from 15 EU Member States and 25 institutions, show casing a remarkable display of talent and dedication. The journey began months ago with rigorous academic challenges, including an essay competition where participants explored CSDP-related topics in depth. In Budapest, participants engaged in intense debates, defended their essays, and competed in group and individual knowledge challenges over two days of spirited competition. The atmosphere was electric as cadets demonstrated their expertise and commitment to advancing European security and defence cooperation. We are proud to congratulate the overall winner, a young cadet from Croatia, whose outstanding performance exemplifies excellence in both academic prowess and strategic insight. However, the true triumph of the Olympiad lies in the collective efforts of all cadets, professors, and organisers who fostered an environment of collaboration and networking. The 7th CSDP Olympiad was a celebration of academic excellence that also fostered enduring relationships and mutual understanding among the next generation of European defence leaders. We sincerely appreciate the Hungarian Ministry of Defence for hosting this esteemed event during Hungary’s Presidency of the Council of the EU, emphasising their dedication to European defence cooperation.
