In 2020, the European Security and Defence College (ESDC) celebrates 15 years of existence since its establishment in 2005. The original date for this celebration on 16 July no longer seems feasible in view of the COVID-19 crisis and we have therefore chosen a new date!
At the occasion of its 15th anniversary, ESDC is hosting the 8th Annual Conference of the Peace Operations Training Centers (EAPTC) and the CSDP Annual Training and Education Conference (ATEC), exploring relevant synergies, benefits and exchange of expertise among all stakeholders, in a single large event from 16 to 18 November 2020.
The conference will conclude with the ceremonial celebration on the 19th November (afternoon) organised together with the German Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Finally, the festive week will be concluded by a meeting of the ESDC Executive Academic Board on the 20 November 2020.
