The introductory speeches were followed by the lecture on the Civilian Capability Development Process and Civilian CSDP Compact presented by Ms Crista Huisman, Head of Sector, EEAS, SECDEFPOL.1.CIVILIAN-CSDP
The aim of the 2nd module focuses on the rationale and challenges of the development of military and civilian crisis management capabilities. The module is designed to provide insight into EU crisis management concepts, processes and tools, to update and broaden understanding of crisis management capabilities – civilian and military. In addition, it provides an insight into efforts to create synergies between civilian and military capabilities, the implementation of the Civilian CSDP Compact as well as into issues relating to European armament cooperation and procurement. It offers an opportunity to enhance understanding of major programmes conducted in an EU (European Commission and EDA) or multilateral framework.
